Please note that the one-way ticket is free of charge. If you would like to have a return ticket, the cost is €14.90. Once generated during the validity period of your E-pass, the CAT ticket remains valid for 6 months and may be used even after your E-pass has expired.
Important service update
Due to a track closure, the CAT is currently running several premium buses per hour non-stop between the airport and the city center/Wien Mitte. Unfortunately, city check-in is not currently available. CAT staff will be happy to help with any queries you may have!

The CAT Bus operates daily with departures every 12 or 15 minutes, depending on the time of day.
- First departure from Wien Mitte: 05:30 AM
- First departure from Vienna Airport: 06:10 AM
- Last departure from Wien Mitte: 11:15 PM
- Last departure from Vienna Airport: 11:37 PM
- Frequency: Every 12 minutes between 07:00 AM and 07:00 PM; every 15 minutes outside these hours
- Travel time: Approximately 21 minutes nonstop

The CAT Bus connects Vienna’s central transport hub directly with the airport bus terminal:
- City Bus Terminal: Wien Mitte – The Mall, Marxergasse 1B, 1030 Vienna
- Airport Bus Terminal: Vienna International Airport, Terminal 3 / Bus Pier 1
Wien Mitte is served by the U3 and U4 metro lines, the S-Bahn, trams and buses. At the airport, clear signage guides passengers directly to the CAT Bus Station.

History
The CAT service was launched in 2003 to provide an efficient airport connection between Wien Mitte and Vienna International Airport. During the temporary suspension of rail services, the CAT operates with premium buses offering frequent departures and a direct nonstop journey between the city center and the airport.
Best Time to Travel
Early mornings and late afternoons are generally less crowded. During peak flight periods, particularly early-morning departures and evening arrivals, passengers should allow additional time.
